Minimum 88dB / 1 Watt / 1 Metre.

Are BG loudspeakers the same as electrostatics?

Planar magnetic ribbons are much different from electrostatic speakers in that they can be installed in or out of a wall without any code ratings. Typically, planar magnetic ribbons are more efficient, can play louder and are much easier to drive than most electrostats.

Do I need a powerful amplifier to drive BG speakers?

BG recommends an amplifier with power output between 50 watts and 250 watts for the largest speaker, the R-75i.

What are the recommended model numbers of BG loudspeaker systems for two channel, 5.1, 6.1, 6.2 or 7.1 home theatre?

Ideally, it is best to select loudspeakers from a similar product line or series due to efficiencies, tonal balance, cosmetics and basic design parameters set by the manufacturer. BG offers a lifetime warranty for all BG loud speakers used for domestic purposes purchased after January 2006. In the first instance, please contact your place of purchase for Warranty service.
