Why Choose T+A?
T+A products are engineered to stand the test of time using the finest materials in the manufacturing process. A clear example of this superior difference can be found in the way we manufacture our circuit boards.Whilst other manufacturers use copper in their circuit boards, we now use a combination of copper and silver layers for board traces. Silver is simply the best conductor and offers outstanding sonic qualities. We never compromise on any aspect of the design and engineering processes.
We consider that any T+A product is an investment and although our range is not inexpensive, you will soon come to realise that the extra investment we have made in creating our products is justified once you listen and experience why we have come to achieve an enviable position in the HiFi industry.

Why have I not heard of T+A?
The range was only introduced into Australia by WC Wedderspoon in May 2006. We are a specialist audiophile manufacturer and not a mass market producer. We carefully select our global distributors and unlike other manufacturers we do not advertise extensively. You will find that T+A will only be available from a very select group of retailers who have undertaken extensive product training before they are able to offer the range to you.If you are a purist audiophile, you will have heard of the numerous prestigious European product awards we have achieved in recent years.

Can I control T+A equipment through a home automation control system?
In addition to integral multi-room facilities(multi-zone) facilities in a number of our products like the K6 Surround DVD Receiver, we have also created practical methods of connecting our equipment to systems made by other manufacturers. This means that you can expand your systems to multiple rooms using home automation systems such as CRESTRON and QED. We have developed a multi room adaptor (MRA) to connect your T+A products to home automation systems allowing multiroom, multi phase control. Please contact your nearest T+A dealer to discuss the expansion of your system.

Why does T+A not have an HDMI board in the 1535R (Receiver) like other electronic manufacturers?
Most audio engineers will tell you that it is quite a complicated to process both high quality video and high performance audio in a single chassis and a seperate audio/video processing approach is the very best for high performance. There is no doubt that keeping audio and video processing as a distinctly seperate process is the optimum approach.
HDMI requires great attention to power supply isolation and noise shielding. Placing an HDMI board within the T+A SR 1535 R receiver the VSP 1250 R.

It seems all CD players have filters these days, why are T+A filters so much different?
Most CD Players use FIR (finite impulse response) filters. These are simple, easy to design and have excellent frequency and phase characteristics. Because there is no feedback, however, they add pre and post echoes to sounds when playing music, distorting the true stereo image. T+A employs IIR (infinite impulse response) filters instead. These have been designed to eliminate pre and post echoes. T+A takes advantage of its DSP circuitry to provide 5 filter functions - two IIR filters remove pre and post echoes, two standard filters plus and additional filter allows you to repoduce sounds you would normally hear if you were playing a vinyl recording. This filtering process inserts a post echo to recreate the "ringing" of a phono cartridge and replicates the rising frequency response of a moving coil phono cartridge.
