September 2008: Wedderspoon teams up with Synergistic Research
W C Wedderspoon has teamed up with Synergistic Research to distribute their exciting range of audio and video cables, which represent the next step in cable technology. The promising new partnership reflects Wedderspoon's commitment to their epithets: "Dedication, Evolution, Value and Style," and ensures the highest quality products for customers.
Synergistic Research, a California-based company, has recently released their new range of TESLA cables. The all new series combines three revolutionary
technologies based on the work of Nikola Tesla - the Tesla Tricon cable
geometry, Zero Capacitance Active Shielding, and a proprietary Patent
Pending conditioning process in a new line of cables that are smaller
and more flexible than previous models with significantly higher
performance and value.
TESLA Cables allow you to hear deeper into recordings with detail
that's transparent and non-fatiguing. Starting at the
Accelerator interconnect and speaker cable level, Synergistic Research claims "TESLA Cables
outperform every cable we have ever pitted them against regardless of
price."
TESLA Lead Designer Ted Denney III was looking for a way to design cables without relying on the previous method of increased distance between conductors, which resulted in wide, stiff cables which were often cumbersome and aesthetically intrusive. Drawing his inspiration from the creative thinking of Nikola Tesla, one of the 20th century's most important scientists, Denney found a way to bypass these traditional cable problems.
"What I found was
a radical concept that suggested a cable could be designed that would
function as an electromagnetic 'lens' to concentrate fluctuating
alternating current and its subsequent electromagnetic fields for
perfect transfer without distortion or loss of signal," Denney says on the Synergistic Research website. "Just as a lens
focuses light by concentrating or dispersing rays of light, this new
geometry, if it could be developed, would concentrate and focus the
sonic signal not by separating conductors, but by strategically
aligning conductors in a symmetrical geometry that manages
electromagnetic fields as a lens precisely focuses light."
